Sabie River
The Sabie River〔(Exact location of Sabie River )〕〔(Ecoregion 5.05 - The Sabie-Sand River System )〕 is a river in South Africa and part of the Komati River System.〔(Inkomati WMA 5 )〕 The catchment area of the Sabie-Sand system is 6320 km2.〔http://www.dwaf.gov.za/IWQS/rhp/state_of_rivers/state_of_crocsabieolif_01/sabie_eco.html〕 It is one of the most biologically diverse rivers in South Africa, with generally good water quality.〔(Ecoregion 4.03 - The Sabie-Sand River System )〕 ==Course== It rises in the Drakensberg, flowing eastwards through Mpumalanga into the lowveld.〔(The Sabie-Sand River System )〕 It crosses the Kruger National Park and flows on to Mozambique〔(Description of Tweefontein plantation )〕 where it flows into the large Corumana Dam, about 40 km from Moamba.〔(Corumana Dam )〕 before it finally joins the Komati. Settlements on its banks include Sabie, Skukuza and Lower Sabie.
